Education

Laura went to Minnesota State University - Moorhead where she received her BS in physics with a minor in math. She continued on to Ohio University where she received her MS in physics and did research on type-IIn supernovae.

Experience

Laura started her teaching career in her freshman year of college where she was employed as a TA. She continued to be a TA through her graduate education and participated in many educational outreach events.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • Loves playing videogames - mostly RPGs
  • Loves reading/watching science fiction and fantasy novels/movies/shows
  • Makes amazing homemade Alfredo
