Andrea Sigler Castro


M.Ed., M.A.


Andrea received a BA in anthropology from Kenyon College. She then went on to earn a M.Ed. in elementary education with a concentration in middle school education from James Madison University. Once Andrea moved to Seattle, she earned a M.A. in English literature with a concentration in American ethnic literature and began work on her Ph.D. in the same subject area.


Andrea began her career helping start Hyla Middle School on Bainbridge Island. She then went on to start an educational company that specialized in twice-exceptional students. Simultaneously, she worked with students at the Evergreen School and the University of Washington's Robinson Center for Young Scholars. That latter position led Andrea into a career in higher education. In 2020, Andrea decided to return to middle and high school and joined Fusion.

  • Played rugby for her university in England and now coaches
