Education

Colette has a BA in English with a Minor in Women's Studies from UC Berkeley, and an MFA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. She has continued her post-grad education in a Teaching Composition certificate program and is currently taking courses in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Counseling.

Experience

Colette taught writing in San Francisco, Oakland and Santa Cruz. She is the author of a poetry collection, Orphanalia, forthcoming from Galileo Books, 2022, and the editor of the poetry anthology, City of One: Young Writers Speak to the World (Aunt Lute Books, 2004). In addition to education, she has worked in book and magazine publishing.
