Myles wasn't interested in learning at his public school. When he and his family found Fusion, he became an active participant in his education, and found his place.

Reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy and being able to experience a book with another human being instead of just being assigned reading.
When Myles wasn't growing socially or academically at his public school, his family knew it was time to switch schools.
