CJ Watkins is a teacher of multiple subjects, including social studies, government, economics, and as many electives as possible. CJ earned his B.A. in history from the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL and earned his professional teaching license from Northern Illinois University. While studying historical perspectives and teaching methods/research at NIU, CJ participated in multiple clinical experiences throughout Chicagoland schools. His training as a teacher culminated in an intensive student teaching semester, followed shortly by substituting in public schools to further hone his craft.
CJ is an avid runner and fitness enthusiast. He particularly enjoys tasting the widest array of foods he can find. While he is an enthusiast of spicy foods especially, he once mistook wasabi as guacamole during his first foray into sushi dishes. It was a mistake he will never make again as his sinuses were never quite the same.
