Amy Long is an instructor in English Literature and additional subjects in the social sciences as needed.
Amy returned to school later in life as an “adult student.” She attended De Anza College (AA), San Jose State University (BA- History), and Sacramento State University for her Masters in Public History. She graduated with honors from each institution.
As part of her graduate studies program in Sacramento, Amy worked for the California State Parks Museum Resource Center where she assisted with the move of over one million historic artifacts. After graduation, she accepted a position as the curator of history for the New Museum Los Gatos, which she helped to open and develop from its inception in 2014. She continues to consult and curate on a freelance basis.
Amy’s hobbies include: reading for fun, spending full weekend days in her pajamas, doting on her rescue dogs, hiking, and watching her husband’s band at local venues.
