Amanda started her journey with Fusion in 2014 and loves the opportunity it has given her to meet people in the community and also participate in seeing students fulfil their potential. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a History minor from McDaniel College located in Westminster, Maryland. After over a year working as a crisis counselor, she moved to Austin, Texas where she pursued a career in International Education.
After more than 3 years working of a Program Director at International Studies Abroad, she decided to return to school. She earned a Global Masters in International Relations from Webster University, based in St. Louis, Missouri; however, she has yet to step foot on their home campus. To earn her Master’s, Amanda completed an intense program in which she studied and lived in 5 countries within a year. Her focus was on International Education and she loved the opportunities it gave her to study and see the world.
At the age of 16, Amanda went on a high school trip to Europe where she fell in love with traveling. She spent her junior year of college studying abroad and has visited over 30 different countries on 5 continents. She makes it her goal to try chocolate everywhere she goes, meet people and learn about their culture. When she’s not traveling, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Although living in Texas, she is a Virginian forever and loves the east coast!
