It is my pleasure to share with you an interview I did with a former Fusion student of mine. Sophia Treadway just released a new song and accompanying music video: “Can’t Stop Thinking About You.” Currently, Sophia is hoping Disney will consider airing her song, but she first needs to reach 1 million views on YouTube. Would you give it a watch and share so we can celebrate her?
You can view her music video here.
Sophia Treadway: Former Fusion Student
Here’s the conversation we had after she shared the song and music video with me:
Interviewer:
Sophia, congratulations on your new hit song, Can’t Stop Thinking About You!
Sophia:
Thank you very much. I am very excited about it!
Interviewer:
You dropped it on YouTube a couple of days ago, and this morning, 6/7/18 at 6:00 a.m., it had 2000 hits! How does that make you feel?
Sophia:
When the video hit 2000 views, I was thrilled, and on my Instagram, I hit 8.5 thousand views and was even happier because it had only been two days.
Interviewer:
YOUR VOICE IS AWESOME, and I enjoyed the story arc, characters, and setting. Where did you film the video?
Sophia:
I filmed the video in Los Angeles on an Escape Room set.
Interviewer:
Who were the other actors and how did you meet?
Sophia:
The other actors were Matt McKinley, Sarah Silva, and Layla Magee. I met Matt through a casting agency. Sarah and I had the same manager. Layla is my best friend, so I invited her.
Interviewer:
Did you write the song?
Sophia:
Yes, I came up with the chorus, then, co-wrote the rest with an Autumn Rowe writer and singing coach from America’s Got Talent.
Interviewer:
I think you were a Fusion student when you wrote it. Was it hard to find time for songwriting while attending classes?
Sophia:
I had written the song before I came to Fusion, but it was a long process to get the song to the final version that you hear now. I did shoot the music video while enrolled at Fusion.
Interviewer:
Please tell us how you approach songwriting?
Sophia:
I listen to a track my producers send me, then usually, something pops up in my head, and the song just flows through me.
Interviewer:
Sophia, Fusion staff and students are so proud of you!
Sophia:
Thank you! I love Fusion and everything all of you have done for me!
Interviewer:
So, where do you go from here? What do you want to see happen with Can’t Stop Thinking About You?
Sophia:
I will always enjoy music. I will continue writing, acting, singing, and keep on working hard to make my dreams come true. I want to see plenty more views of my new song, and a ton of new followers as my fan base.
Interviewer:
I hope you achieve all your dreams. Congratulations, again, Sophia!
Sophia:
Thank you very much! I hope I achieve them as well, and thank you again for the interview!
