(Southlake, TX – August 17, 2021) Fusion Academy’s Southlake campus was recently awarded “School of the Year” for its exceptional parent and employee loyalty scores and remarkable enrollment growth during an unprecedented challenging year.
“When the pandemic uprooted education, teachers kept students engaged and learning,” said Jeff Poole, President of Fusion Academy. “Parents sang Southlake’s praises, and we commend the team for its extraordinary commitment to our families.”
“I could not be more proud of our teachers and Southlake team,” said Stephen Schwartz, Fusion Academy Division Vice President of the Southwest Region. “When teachers are supported, they shine and our students flourish. Parents are engaged because our team is committed to our one-on-one model, and they continue to do a remarkable job.”
Fusion’s approach to learning is grounded in its one-to-one model of one teacher to one student with different teachers for different classes. Fusion Academy’s education model helps middle and high school students rediscover their love of learning. With one student and one teacher per classroom, the entire learning journey is personalized for each student.
The Southlake campus, one of seven Fusion Academies in Texas, had some of the highest parent and employee loyalty scores throughout the country and – during a pandemic – saw an 18% increase in enrollment. Schwartz has overseen growth at the Southlake campus since it opened in 2015. The campus ended the last school year with 75 students; small schools are a hallmark of Fusion Academy. Nationally, Fusion graduates have been accepted at more than 200 unique colleges.
The Southlake campus joins its Fusion Texas neighbors in Dallas, Austin, and Plano that have all won Fusion Academy School of The Year in recent years. At the end of the 2020-2021 school year, Fusion Education Group (FEG) measured parent loyalty scores; Fusion parents rated FEG higher than the equivalent customer loyalty scores for iconic brands like Apple, Microsoft, Google, and Coca-Cola.
The continued demand for personalized learning close to home is the impetus for Fusion Education Group’s expansion into new markets. Fusion Academy is scheduled to open its eighth Texas campus this January in San Antonio and is currently enrolling students virtually. The San Antonio school will introduce a new flexible learning model that offers any combination of the three learning modalities including one-to-one learning, asynchronous digital, and small group project-based classes. Fusion Academy will also open its first schools in the states of Minnesota and Tennessee later this upcoming school year.
Southlake was one of several schools recognized at the company’s annual meeting. The School of Year Awards are the company’s equivalent of the Oscars and celebrate campus leadership teams for their accomplishments.
