(San Antonio, Texas – March 31, 2022) Fusion Academy San Antonio welcomes families, community members, and local business leaders to meet its leadership team at its grand opening and ribbon cutting.
In partnership with the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, Fusion Academy San Antonio will celebrate the opening of its new middle and high school.

Founded in San Diego, California in 1989, Fusion Academy’s approach to learning is grounded in its one-to-one model of one teacher to one student, with different teachers for different classes. Fusion opened its first Texas academies in Dallas and Plano in 2014 and has since opened schools in Houston, Southlake, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, and Austin. Fusion Academy San Antonio is its eighth Texas campus and its first campus to offer a new flexible learning model that combines three learning modalities including one-to-one learning, small learning project-based groups, and asynchronous digital.
Lynique Charles is Fusion Academy San Antonio’s Head of School and Haley Segovia is Director of Outreach. Together the two women lead parent and community outreach for the national education provider.
“The community so warmly welcomed us here and we want to celebrate them,” said Charles. “We lost the opportunity to share in many extraordinary events the last couple years, and we are grateful to come together again.”
Fusion teachers personalize instruction for student strengths, interests, and learning preferences. Schedules are customized so students take classes at a time of day that works best for them. Athletes, actors, and students with extracurricular passions can schedule school around their life instead of the other way around. Other students who attend Fusion include gifted or accelerated students, students with mild learning differences, or anyone looking for a more personalized learning environment.
