Virtual Reality Therapy is an advanced innovative approach to Exposure Therapy. It can also be offered as an immersive experience to replace the client’s imagination when practicing skills for stress management and relaxation. A decade of controlled studies demonstrated the efficacy and efficiency of VR-based therapy intervention on mental disorders, particularly anxiety and specific phobias. It has a higher level of clinical effectiveness than the traditional imagination exposure technique.
