Video Game Addiction: Is it real or have we just given up?
Video game addiction is a term gaining swift popularity among parents and professionals who deal with children, teens, and adults struggling to tear themselves away from their precious games. Is it considered an addiction, an impulsivity problem, a neurological disorder, or just plain laziness? We will discuss the signs and symptoms of gaming addiction, the distinction between problem behavior and addiction, and how we, as support people, enable the addictive behaviors. Learn ways to break the addictive cycle, treatments available, and when to get help. Learn who is most vulnerable to gaming addiction and what interventions are most effective.Learn More
