Education

Zulema graduated from Wesleyan University, earning a degree in Romance Languages and Literatures and History, with a concentration in Spanish and concentrations in War and Migration.

Experience

Prior to Fusion, Zulema was a legal secretary and translator for managing attorneys in Texas and Connecticut. She educated families on a variety United States Customs and Services processes from contracts to application submissions for U-Visas, T-Visas, and I-130's providing personalized support for each individual. Zulema began her educator journey in a formal capacity with Fusion Academy. Since then, she has remained a dedicated mentor in various roles, demonstrating a love for flexibility and personalization in this dedication.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • Has hiked the Chimney Pond trail (11 miles) up roughly 4,000 ft of elevation to Baxter Peak (the end of the AT)
  • Loves bouldering for fun, but terrified of heights and falling
  • Has visited Montreal, Madrid, and was born and raised in Dallas, Texas
