Katy began her collegiate journey at Baylor University but later transferred to Sul Ross State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Mexican American Studies.

Experience

Returning to Sugar Land after her husband retired from the military, Katy has spent over 20 years working with students in various roles. Katy directed the youth programming for middle schools and high schools on military bases in Europe and stateside. Her role included the planning and execution of weekly large group meetings, weekly small group meetings, camps and retreats, service projects, and various special events. Katy is passionate about meeting students exactly where they are in life, and walking alongside students and families as they navigate all the experiences the teenage years bring.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • Favorite thing to do is hang out with my parents, especially after being away for so many years.
  • Mom of two amazingly talented kids and wife to a retired Army soldier.
