Math and Science Teacher/Mentor
Sara earned her Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from Mississippi State University, and her Doctorate in Bioengineering at the University of Texas at Arlington. Education has always been at the forefront of her passion for the sciences, as she served as both a classroom and laboratory teaching assistant throughout her academic careers at both institutes. In addition to collegiate teaching opportunities, she also served as a group fitness instructor and a mentor in a tissue engineering and biomechanics research lab.
After finishing her doctorate, Sara worked as a COVID testing clinic manager, serving a vulnerable patient population. She has strengthened her skills and communication capabilities by working with individuals of many different backgrounds and experiences, and she is excited for the opportunity to contribute to educating our future leaders. Sara typically spends her free time cooking, baking, and crafting, in between regular sessions of spoiling her cat, Morty.
