Sophie Carlson

Education
Sophie has received her Bachelor of Arts (BA) Integrated Studies from Seattle Pacific University. She is also a Certified Yoga Instructor, in Washington State.
Experience
Sophie grew up in Northern Minnesota before moving to Washington state, where she received her BA. She then worked as a Pediatric Mental Health Specialist on the Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Unit (PBMU) at Seattle Children’s Hospital for four years.
Helping kids stabilize on the unit & in the Emergency Department, she managed behavior support and taught de-escalation interventions to families in crisis. She brings this focus to many of our Professional Development and family outreach events, enriching our support for staff and families, here, in our Fusion Seattle community.

- Sophie has taught hot yoga in the Seattle community for 2.5 years
