David Gomez is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, having earned a Bachelor's degree in Film Studies. His academic journey cultivated a profound understanding of cinematic theory and film history, fueling their passion to create captivating visuals as a filmmaker.

Experience

David was a substitute teacher and full-time Spanish teacher for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles before relocating to Santa Barbara. David also has past work experience in the entertainment industry, particularly assisting production crews for the Film Independent Los Angeles Film Festival (Project Involve), assisting NALIP (the National Association of Latino Independent Producers), developing script coverage for George Clooney's and Grant Hezlov's Smokehouse Pictures (Argo, Ocean's Eight, The Midnight Sky), and supported his local Los Angeles art community in many organizations. David recently worked at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures as a Museum Educator where he shared his passion for film with students, families, and thousands of guests.
