Education

Erika earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt, with a concentration in International Relations, completed prerequisite courses for a Teaching Credential in Elementary Education, and earned an Associate of Science in Business Administration from Cuesta College.

Experience

From working with students receiving intensive intervention to supporting educator professional learning, Erika has dedicated her career to helping all students reach their potential. As a reading tutor, she was amazed and inspired by the growth students made with individualized instruction. Transitioning into leadership roles, Erika was motivated to reach more students by fostering partnerships with schools to bring personalized learning into the classroom.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • Erika loves exploring the great outdoors with her two little boys and Gracie, my Jack Russell Terrier.
  • Her favorite place is lounging on the beach with a good book.
  • With fond memories from living in many communities throughout California, Erika is delighted to return to her home by the bay.
