I studied Journalism, specifically Magazine Editing, at the University of Missouri's School of Journalism, with a minor in Women and Gender Studies.

Experience

Before falling in love with the power of education, I was a journalist (magazine editor) for 6 years. From there, I began my teaching journey with Fusion Academy in Texas, moved into public schools, and eventually found my way back home at Fusion Academy in San Diego.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • Has 2 German Shepherds (Ani, aka Anakin, and Birdie)
  • Will seek out coffee at any opportunity
  • Will never learn surface-level content about a topic (always a deep dive!)
