Education

Elizabeth, better known as Bizy, attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated in 2016 with a double major in History and English, and a minor in Medieval and Early Modern Studies. Her first Master's took her across the pond to the University of York in northern England, where she completed an MA in Renaissance and Early Modern Studies with a focus Elizabethan and Jacobean history. In 2021 she earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from North Carolina State University.

Experience

Bizy honed her teaching skills first in museum education, working as a education docent at a number of historical sites. Her first five years as a teacher were spent teaching ELA and Social Studies at the middle school level, while also working with high school and college age students as a private tutor.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • A budding SFX makeup artist.
  • Collects yarn with the intention of making them into traditional and amigurumi style crochet creations.
  • Her very southern grandmother asked for (and now uses) her macaroni and cheese recipe, a feat rarely accomplished.
