Education

Andrea has a History Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, where her focus of studies were US, Middle East, Iran, and transitional history. As a historian, teacher, and mentor, Andrea aims to educate students to think historically and learn all perspectives.

Experience

Andrea participates in a non-profit organization focused on conflict resolution. She is one of the coordinators for Bright Garden Voices, an initiative focused on civil dialogue and peacebuilding between Armenians and Azerbaijanis. She has a passion for social and political justice, environmentalism, and trauma healing. Andrea was also the President for Phi Alpha Theta, Eta XI at CSULA, where she organized academic events, workshops, game nights, and mentorships. Her experiencing in Phi Alpha Theta taught skills in leadership, academic success, and mentoring.
