Experience

During her academic career, Nuvia worked in a biochemistry research lab at California State University, Los Angeles where she focused on the characterization of biochemical and molecular genetics governing the lifespan in plants, specifically Arabidopsis thaliana and Oryza sativa. She also worked as a Spanish and English as a Second Language tutor at University of California, Merced, Pasadena City College, and California State University, Los Angeles. She's worked as a Spanish and English teacher at multiple private schools in the Pasadena area. At Fusion, she served as a Spanish and English Teacher for 4 years and now will serve as the Director of Student Services. Her passion for education and serving the community will now be used to help guide our families through their academic journey.
