Jacqueline Mullen earned an M.A. in English Literature and Writing from Florida Atlantic University in 2023. Her areas of specialization include Literature and the Environment, Modernism, Postcolonial Studies, Multicultural and Gender Studies, and Indigenous Religious Rhetoric

Experience

Jacqueline is currently a full-time English Instructor at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. She teaches College Writing I and II, along with Interpretation of Fiction. She is entering her third year of college teaching. Not only does she have a passion for helping young adults pursue their passions - she has also taught varying subjects from History, English Literature, Language Arts, and Creative Writing at Fusion Academy for nearly a year, which ranges from 6th-12th grades. She also specializes in working with non-native English speakers and has tutored many students from ages 15-50 who seek to improve their literacy skills. Jacqui particularly looks forward to college application season, where she can put her English skills to use and help students with their Common App Essays to get into their dream colleges.

  • Rears butterflies, particularly monarchs
  • Loves to walk around barefoot, everywhere, even places she shouldn't
  • Generally reads 3-4 books at a time
