Dr. Curtis Hsia will be joining us to discuss anxiety and its impact on academics, social and family systems, and what steps parents can take to help (and not hinder) their child. This interactive discussion will include assessment and treatment of common anxiety disorders, what theoretical approaches have efficacy, what questions to ask a potential provider. Dr. Hsia is the director of the OC Anxiety Center. He specializes in treatment and research of Anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, with around one hundred presentations, workshops and research articles. A SoCal native, he completed his undergraduate degree at UCLA before heading east for his doctorate at Hofstra University and postdoctoral fellowship at Boston University's Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders. He was a professor at Azusa Pacific University for a decade before founding the OC Anxiety Center in 2012.
