I am in the middle of completing my Masters for Special Education.

Experience

I have worked in Miami, in a Private Special Education school, as the English/Service-learning teacher. I have recently worked in Japan as an ESL teacher and Curriculum Coordinator (manager).

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • I used to dream of becoming president. Now, I dream of transforming education.
  • I am trilingual: English, Spanish, and Japanese with a splash of Portuguese.
  • I am obsessed with improving transitional planning for students with disabilities after seeing how often they were left behind.
  • In my free time I love researching/ studying special education laws and policies as well as the education system as a whole (including those in other countries).
