Education
Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Penn State University. He then participated in a master's Program at Villanova University studying Organizational Psychology/Human Resource Development. He later received his master’s degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. As a Resident Fellow with The New Teacher Project, he worked alongside School Leaders from across the country while receiving his Principal Certification.
Experience
Prior to transitioning into working in schools, Michael served TANF recipients as a Welfare-to-Work Job Coach/Adult Literacy Instructor in West Philadelphia. Between Philadelphia and New York City, Michael served schools in a variety of roles: Chief Executive Officer, School Principal, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Coach, PD Consultant, Academy Leader and Classroom Teacher. He has connected directly with schools and classrooms in various domestic and international regions, including Sierra Leone, Ghana, China, Colombia, Bahamas, Ontario, Atlanta, Memphis, Detroit, New York City, Camden, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.
