Beyond Diet Culture: Supporting Your Child Around Food & Body

Parent Education Workshop – Free & Open to All

Diet culture is everywhere—and young people absorb its messages quickly. Social media, appearance‑focused environments, and subtle food rules can all increase the risk of disordered eating, food anxiety, body dissatisfaction, and unhealthy coping patterns, especially for teens already navigating other mental‑health challenges.

Join us for an informative and supportive workshop designed to help parents and caregivers understand what kids and teens are experiencing, what signs to look for, and how to respond with compassion and clarity.

In this workshop, you’ll learn:

  • What disordered eating can look like in teens
  • Early red flags and when to pay closer attention
  • Practical strategies to support a healthy relationship with food and body
  • How to respond in ways that promote safety, connection, and resilience
  • When to seek professional support—and why early intervention matters
