Matt graduated from Emory & Henry College with a B.A. in History and Philosophy and minored in Music.

Experience

With his broad background in various fields of study, Matt utilized every opportunity to tutor elementary school students and fellow classmates in his spare time. By 2019, Matt served as an English and History teacher at Fusion Academy until 2022, when he was promoted to Director of Student Life. While in the role, Matt has worked earnestly to cultivate an engaging and positive campus culture while simultaneously partnering with parents, staff, and students to promote academic success and personal growth.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • Matt enjoys spending his free time outside hiking or playing disc golf with friends.
  • Matt is also an experienced musician who spent the majority of his adolescence playing the drums and honing his skills later in life at the collegiate-level.
  • One of Matt's favorite pets was a fish named "Doggo".
