Experience

Prior to becoming Director of Student Life at Fusion Academy, I held several roles in education and student support. I served as a Student Services Facilitator with International Student Exchange, where I supported international students by mediating issues with host families and schools and monitoring their academic progress. I also worked as a gifted and talented and science enrichment teacher with Herricks Public Schools, and previously as a classroom and STEM teacher at The Bridges Academy, where I developed project-based lessons, led STEM initiatives, and advised student clubs to foster engagement and critical thinking.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • Black Belt in Karate
  • Have seen over 50 Broadway shows, and have all the playbills to prove it
  • Rescued a mother cat and her 4 kittens, which then led to being the proud owner of Euphie (short for Euphegenia, the mom cat), Chessy, and Peanut (2 of the kittens)
