Education

After graduating from Stony Brook University with a B.S. in Biology, Anthony was accepted into the prestigious NYC Teaching Fellows. While in the program, Anthony completed his Master's in Science Education at Queens College. After teaching for several years, Anthony completed an Advanced Certificate in Educational Leadership and Administration from the College of St. Rose. As an avid lifelong learner, Anthony is always seeking opportunities to learn. Anthony not only holds a NY State Biology Teaching license, but also has his School Building Leader (SBL) and School District Leader (SDL) licenses.

Experience

Anthony began his teaching career in NYC where he taught middle school General Science and high school Living Environment, Chemistry, Earth Science, and Physics. Then Anthony began his administrative career as an Assistant Principal for a brand new high school in NYC that served only Spanish-speaking students. One of his favorite subjects is teaching Cell Biology and will always take the time to talk about Mitosis. Anthony is passionate about working with teachers, especially new one to the profession, and takes pride in the culture of learning on the campus. Anthony joined Fusion in 2017 as an Assistant Director on the Long Island campus.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • Likes to spend as much time as he can outdoors doing activities such as riding his mountain bike, camping with the kids, or heading out for a long early morning run
