Education
Kerin received her Bachelor of Science degree from Adelphi University, with an emphasis on Biology. She embarked on her career as a teacher and soon earned a Master of Arts in Secondary Science Education from Stony Brook University.
Experience
Kerin has been teaching for over thirty years. Throughout that time she has taught students from the seventh grade to the twelfth grade in both the public and private setting. In fact, one of her first jobs was in a private Greek school and the other in a private Japanese school. Most of her experience was in preparing students for the Living Environment Regents, but also enjoys teaching electives, such as Nutrition and Anatomy/Physiology. Kerin realizes the importance of students seeing you outside the classroom and has been involved in tutoring, chaperoning, and even advised the STEP team.
