Description

During this 3-part parenting series, parents will understand how a child’s emotional vulnerability and a lack of effective coping skills may lead to emotional dysregulation and problem behaviors. They will also learn effective tools to regulate their own emotions and behavior in order to manage their child’s emotional dysregulation more effectively.

Parents will learn:

1.) to use Mindfulness skills to observe, describe nonjudgmentally, and effectively.

2.) to use empathy and validation while simultaneously setting clear boundaries and effective problem solving strategies for problem behaviors.

3.) to decrease emotional vulnerability and reactivity by increasing emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication skills.
