Kathy DeLoach

Born in Texas, Kathy is proud of her heritage and has always wanted to become a teacher and get married and become a mom. She received her Bachelors degree in Deaf Education at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, a town in the middle of the country’s well known corn crop, hence the name DeKalb.  While in Illinois for those 18 years, she gained a wealth of experience driving in blizzards, shoveling 2 feet of snow on top of 6 inches of ice (more or less), taking care of her own 4 kids with various illnesses at the same time, teaching some of the most challenging young deaf children, as well as teaching a diverse audience in American Sign Language.

Ultimately, Kathy and her family moved back to her beloved state and is now a part of the Fusion family teaching ASL. Kathy also works side by side with her husband in the Deaf Ministry and tutors Deaf adults, helping them obtain their GEDs.    She loves Italian food, having three little dogs running around her house and traveling with her husband and 4 children and hopes to make a last dash effort in cruising the Caribbean Islands in the near future!
