Description
Tenika Combs, Advocate and founder of Got Advocacy LLC will be presenting on creating a masterplan for a student’s life. She will discuss what happens post secondary, what barriers there are during the transition phase into adulthood and how to overcome them.
Tenika is not only an advocate, but she is a parent of a unique child on a remarkable journey. She has worked as a Reservist-Disability Integration Advisor for the Department of Homeland Security/FEMA. Tenika has an extensive background as a Case Manager and Transition support Specialist. Tenika is a Certified Community Rehabilitation Provider/Vocational Rehabilitation/Job Skills Coach contracted with the Texas Workforce Commission-Vocational Rehabilitation. Tenika is also a certified Triple P Parent Trainer (Positive Parenting Program) and she is a member of COPAA, the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates. Tenika has applied her education, personal experience, and development into helping families with transitional support services.
