Fusion Academy Hingham is excited to host Education Law Attorney Pamela Milman as the first presenter in our Community Education Night series. Pamela will join us on campus for an hour on Thursday, September 25th from 5:30-6:30pm. During “Hour with an Ed Attorney,” Pamela will discuss basic rights, eligibility requirements, and processes within special education law, and is excited to engage with attendees throughout the hour to answer any questions they may have about education and special education law in Massachusetts.

About Pamela:

Pamela Milman, Esq., is the Senior Attorney and founder of Education Consulting, Advocacy & Legal Services, LLC. (“ECALS, LLC”). ECALS, LLC was established to provide advice, training and representation in administrative and legal proceedings involving all education, special education, disciplinary and juvenile matters. Pamela represents clients in all aspects of litigation; hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, Team meetings, and in court.

Pamela has been recognized, on numerous occasions, for her zealous advocacy at the state and local level. She taught special education for over a decade during which time she was also a school administrator. Additionally, Pamela worked as an Education Specialist for the Massachusetts Department of Education. At the Department of Education, she was responsible for implementing complaint management procedures, performing investigations and issuing findings. Pamela provided technical assistance regarding interpretations of state and federal education requirements.

In addition, Pamela assisted new schools in developing programs to comply with special education requirements and approving such programs. She is trained as a state alternative dispute resolution conciliator under the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. She volunteers with the Community Service Agency and as a mediator in the local district courts on small claims issues and housing matters. Pamela provides speaking engagements and training sessions to parent groups, special education parent advisory councils and education conferences. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts state and federal courts as well as the Supreme Court of the United States. Pamela lives on the north shore with her husband and two daughters.
