Susanna Quasem has been a practicing child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist in Nashville since 2008. She did her residency and fellowship at Duke University Medical Center, worked at Vanderbilt for 2 years, and has been in private practice since 2010. She founded Nashville Child and Family Wellness Center in 2014, which offers comprehensive, evidenced-based mental health treatment to kids, teens, adults, and families.

This virtual presentation explores the neurological changes that make teenagers more susceptible to mood disorders and emotional challenges. Parents will learn how to distinguish normal adolescent moodiness from signs of more serious conditions, along with practical, actionable strategies for supporting their children.
