Bailey Spence

Education
Bailey graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.A. in Communications and Social Sciences, with a minor in Film. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Public Administration with a focus on gender based violence and education policy.
Experience
Bailey has worked with youth since 2014, starting as a camp counselor, and most recently as a Treatment Counselor at a facility for high-risk youth. The combination of her experience and education with youth from a variety of backgrounds has helped shape her goal of providing a safe, secure, and trauma-informed environment for kids to grow and receive individualized support. She is extremely excited to bring structure, consistency, and fun to the Homework Café space.
Fun Facts and Hobbies
- Spent 7 weeks in India learning about the intersections of gender and religion and how it affects the region's youth.
- Enjoys dancing, writing, painting, and spending time outdoors
- Traveled to Selma, Alabama to spend time at the Selma Center for Nonviolence, Truth, and Reconciliation and took a course in nonviolence & justice developed from the movement of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
