Amanda graduated from Cal State Monterey Bay with a B.S. in Marine Science. She mainly studied kelp forest ecosystem interactions as well as the intertidal. Following the completion of her degree, she completed an internship on ocean acoustics, focusing on the development of a Sperm Whale echolocation click detector.
Amanda spent over 2 years teaching students age 12 to 50 how to SCUBA dive in Monterey Bay. She has spent countless hours discussing various SCUBA courses, from Open Water to Divemaster, in person and over zoom with her students.
