Topic: Planning for Post-Secondary Success

How should we think about selecting courses for college readiness? What does it mean to find a “good fit” college? What are my child’s options if college isn’t one?

If you have had any of these questions as you are preparing for life after high school with your student, then this is the panel for you!

Join Fusion Academy, in collaboration with Ginny Johnson, Justin Menda, and Stacey Cunitz for our upcoming Post-Secondary Speaker Panel.

Meet our Panelists

Ginny Johnson

With a strong background in nursing and counseling, I’ve dedicated my career to empowering students through education and guidance. With a BSN from the University of Cincinnati and an MS in Counseling and Human Relations from Villanova University, I’ve honed my expertise in understanding the diverse needs of learners.
My commitment to inclusive education led me to earn a professional certificate in Learning Differences and Neurodiversity from Landmark College. Over the years, I’ve served as a College/Career Counselor in public schools and as an Independent Educational Consultant, impacting the lives of over 18,000 students.
Navigating the college admission process can be overwhelming, which is why I strive to demystify it. With over 500 college visits under my belt, I’m passionate about providing personalized support to students from all backgrounds and walks of life. As a member of prestigious organizations like PACAC, NACAC, IECA, and HECA, I continuously engage with best practices in the field.
My mission is simple: to create a calm and supportive environment where every student can thrive. As a National Board-Certified Counselor, I bring expertise, empathy, and a genuine passion for guiding students towards their academic and personal goals.

Justin Menda

Justin Menda has been a tutor and academic coach for over 13 years. He holds a B.A. in psychology and an M.S.Ed. in secondary education from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as an M.S. in biomedical science from Drexel University. Using techniques based on cognitive neuropsychology, he helps students get better results in school and on standardized tests – not just improving their grades or scores, but reaching beyond the classes and tests, using them to build self-knowledge, self-efficacy, and cognitive skills that really matter.

Stacey Cunitz

Stacey earned her BA in Literature and Creative Writing from Barnard College, her MA in Secondary English Education at NYU, and a Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA. She has been counseling students in their college search and application process since 2005. She is an active member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and Past President of the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling (PACAC). Stacey has worked with all kinds of students including: academically strong; emotionally fragile; strong students but weak test-takers; neurodiverse students; strong advocates for social justice; members of the LGBTQ community, including trans and nonbinary students; undecided students; those with inconsistent transcripts; artists; musicians; and students who are a combination of many of these traits.
