Please join us for our July Connections & Conversations with Jess Williams, LCMHCA, as she discusses The Benefits of Farm Therapy for Neurodivergent Adolescents and Families.

This presentation explores the benefits of farm therapy for neurodivergent adolescents and their families, focusing on how nature-based interventions support emotional regulation, social growth, and family bonding. Jess will examine the sensory, social, and therapeutic advantages of farm environments, including animal care, gardening, and collaborative outdoor activities. By addressing behavioral challenges such as sensory overload and social withdrawal, farm therapy provides a unique, low-pressure setting for skill-building and self-discovery. The presentation will touch on the role of family involvement, the importance of accessible farm programs, and the broader impact of this type of therapy on community well-being. The session will highlight how Broken Things Farm is creating an inclusive, healing space that fosters resilience, connection, and holistic mental health support.
