Leslie Goodman

Success Coach

Executive Function and Wellness Lead

Education

Mrs. Leslie Goodman graduated from Hampton University with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. Her passion for science and desire to be more "hands-on " with people led her to continue her studies at Eastern Virginia Medical School, where she became a Certified Surgical Assistant.

After a 12-year-long journey of working directly with surgical patients in a private reconstructive surgery practice in Atlanta, Leslie shifted her focus to a lifelong commitment to holistic wellness. This transition led her to obtain her Certified Yoga Teacher certification in 2018 and progress forward in fulfilling her entrepreneurship goals of owning her own business in wellness.

Experience

Leslie has extensive experience with adults, but her dedication to youth has led her to share her knowledge and tools of wellness with adolescents and teens. She has worked in the Atlanta Public School system teaching yoga in the classroom & successfully implemented a yoga/mindfulness curriculum at two Atlanta area middle schools as part of their social-emotional learning (SEL) initiative. Within this program, students learned ways to be more productive in their executive functioning with mindful ways to control emotion.

In addition, Leslie has advanced training in adapting mindfulness & therapeutic practice for trauma victims and disadvantaged populations.

Leslie continues to foster her passion for wellness by advancing her scope of learning. She is currently enrolled in an immersive training program as a pain recovery coach specializing in mind-body methods for healing neuroplastic pain.
