Kayla went to Maryville College in Maryville, Tennesee where she studied ASL interpreting. Upon graduation, Kayla decided to take a teaching job teaching ASL and realized her passion for sharing ASL and Deaf culture.
Kayla worked with adults with IDDs for 2 years before earning her degree. She soon moved on to Fusion in Dallas, then to a charter school in North Carolina, and now is happily at Fusion in Atlanta.
Fun Facts and Hobbies
- Started learning ASL at the age of 5.
- Likes mint chocolate chip icecream... and I look like it.
- Great at being overly organized and overly dramatic.
