Yasliz M. Rivera Ramirez relocated from Puerto Rico to Georgia two and a half years ago. Ms. Rivera has a bachelor's degree in Special Education and a master's degree in Counseling, both from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. She has worked as a special education teacher for the last 7 years in Puerto Rico at the elementary, middle and high school levels and the last two years in a dual language school with Spanish immersion. Her hobbies are creating crafts, spending time with her pets, and reading.
Experience
Yasliz Rivera has experience in extracurricular programs such as the school newspaper, youth cooperatives, and summer camps. Ms. Rivera has also worked in youth programs for high-risk youth in Puerto Rico. She likes to integrate the arts in teaching strategies, reinforcing socio-emotional aspects where she can also apply what she has learned in the Counseling area.

- She loves the cultural exchange in gastronomy. She loves to write and paint in her free time. She relaxes listening to music and spending time with her pets.
