Experience
Omar brings more than a decade of leadership experience across K–12 and higher education in the United States and internationally. His career has spanned academic leadership, enrollment management, advancement, and organizational development, giving him a broad perspective on the people, culture, and experiences that shape exceptional schools. He leads with a focus on the student experience, faculty excellence, and creating a strong sense of belonging. He takes a visible and relational approach to leadership and believes a Head of School should be an active presence in the everyday life of the school—engaging with students, partnering with families, supporting teachers, and building a community where people feel known and valued.
Omar is particularly passionate about supporting students with diverse learning profiles and those whose strengths, needs, or educational journeys may not always align with a traditional school environment. He believes that academic growth, social-emotional development, confidence, and belonging are deeply interconnected and that meaningful education begins with understanding the individual student. As Omar shares, “One of the most rewarding parts of school leadership is getting to know students as individuals—to really understand their interests, personalities, ambitions, challenges, and what makes them excited to come to school.”
His educational philosophy is grounded in the belief that there is no single pathway to student success. He believes exceptional schools recognize what is unique about each student, surround them with exceptional educators, and create the conditions for them to discover not only what they can achieve, but who they can become. Omar is committed to continuing to strengthen Fusion Brooklyn as a place where students feel a genuine sense of belonging, educators are empowered to do their best work, and families find a true partner in their child’s education.
