Education

I have a Master's of Educational Administration from Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas. My undergraduate hours are mostly from Kansas State University, but I graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in Education also from Lamar. I have post graduate work from Harvard's Graduate School of Education concentrated on Mindfulness as a means to foster social and emotional development, as well as a professional growth for educators.

Experience

My professional journey has included various positions such a as teaching, administration at a year-round school, Principal, Director of Curriculum & Instruction, and Assistant Superintendent for a large public school district. I have held the position of Executive Director of the Museum of Boulder, Boulder, Colorado and have more recently worked as an educational consultant for schools in Colorado and the Arly Kruse Educational Foundation, Boulder, Colorado.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • I have a strong passion for the racquet sports of tennis and Padel, and I compete regularly in leagues and tournaments.
  • I have a passion for music and community theater and photography and I was in a Warner Brothers movie at age 16.
  • I have enjoyed extensive world travel that has included bungee jumping over a river in New Zealand and skydiving.
