Creating Empowered Talk at Home

This short workshop will explore a different approach to fostering empowering talk in your home. I will introduce you to unique power cards, a tool designed to help you and your children recognize your strengths. Through interactive exercises, we will practice nurturing and celebrating the wonderful and unique individuals your children are.  

Growing up with undiagnosed dyslexia and ADHD and working as a special ed teacher and a therapist, I have seen the significant benefits and growth from working with the gifts and powers we have to improve our challenges and struggles.

SPEAKER BIO:

Noga was born and raised in a Kibbutz in Israel and moved to Colorado 6 years ago with her husband and three boys. As a child in school, she dealt with Learning Disabilities – Dyslexia and ADHD. It was in her mid 20’s that she was diagnosed, so she had to survive the school system. Dance was her safe space. It felt like home to her; she had an opportunity to bring her creativity and visual visions to life. As an adult, she loves to dance and play. Her favorite dance style is Dance Theater. She loves to hike and be out in nature with Luna, her German Shorthair Pointer. She is a registered psychotherapist with a B.Ed. in Education and Teaching and M.A. in Dance Movement Therapy. She was both a dance teacher/choreographer and a Special Ed teacher for many years. Eventually, she combined her two passions into “Dance Movement Therapy,” which means embedded and somatic work in the therapy room. You don’t need to be a dancer, but she will connect and create awareness of your body and emotions. She has extensive experience supporting kids and young adults with life crises, including anxiety, depression, bipolar, ADHD/ADD, social skills-related issues, and more.
