Experience

Barbara comes to Fusion Academy Berkeley after 12 years managing a recreational marina. With the goal of ‘play where you work’, she nurtured a community that energized the nautical commercial tenants and boaters. She holds a passion for building relationships and learning what can bring people joy. Motherhood quickly showed Barbara the diverse needs many kids require to excel in learning and the importance of individualized education for so many kids. She comes to Fusion Academy Berkeley with a passion to help students and their families thrive in a personalized supportive community. Barbara has dedicated her volunteer time to empower teen girls to forge their way into the primarily male dominated sport of sailing and marine industry, serving as event chair for national sailing youth events.
