Kayla has received her Masters of Education in Teaching English learners from American College of Education. She also has her TEFL certificate and her undergraduate fine arts degree in Film Studies and Theology from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec.

Kayla has taught ESL in three different countries for over a decade. She made her way back to the States this past year.
