Pat Young

Director of Homework Café

Pat Young is ecstatic about starting his 3rd year at Fusion and first as the Director of Homework Café. He joined the Fusion team as a hybrid Homework Café/Math teacher having come from Fairfax County Public Schools as a Special Education teacher for small group high school math. Pat has a Master’s in Special Education from George Mason University and studied at The George Washington University and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Sociology (concentrated in Criminal Justice) and a minor in Psychology. Pat has lived in the DC area his whole life and mostly grew up in the Rockville/Potomac area where he attended private Catholic schools starting in 3rd grade and ending with his graduation from Georgetown Preparatory School in Rockville in 1995.

Pat has always loved playing sports. Even though soccer took up most of his time, he also played competitive volleyball and tennis. He spends his free time with his wife and 2 sons and possibly playing a few video games here and there. At night, he and his wife furiously try to catch up with shows on their DVR, Netflix, or any other subscription (let’s go Disney+)!
