From Studies to Slopes

Robby is an authentic student with a contagious smile. His presence relaxes others and he has a joyful, light demeanor. He can be a little shy, but once you get to know him, you can see that he’s full of potential, inspiring, and unstoppable.

Students like Robby choose Fusion Long Island for a variety of reasons. For some, it’s the constructive relationships that offer positive learning solutions, and others for the environment where they can flourish emotionally, socially, and academically. For Robby, one of his major reasons for enrolling in Fusion was to continually feed his love of snowboarding.

“My mother says I discovered my passion for snowboarding when I was 2,” said Robby. “I trailed behind my brother, falling and all, but when I got older, I knew I wanted to do it forever.”

As a teenager, Robby attends school full-time throughout the summer while the majority of students are on break, saving his own ‘summer break’ for his favorite time of the year – the cold and slippery slopes of December through April.

You can say that Robby has been able to do a lot of what he truly loves. He’s competed in local, regional and national snowboarding competitions through the USASA series. Additionally, he’s been featured in The Launch 2016, a snowboarding magazine. Our school community is proud to foster the growth of teenagers like Robby, preparing them to be confident in who they are and proficient in what they love.

We provide endless opportunities for students to pursue their passions and dreams. We do this through our learning environment and catering to each student’s characteristics and interests. Fusion believes in each and every student, preparing them for their next step, and supporting their pursuits. At Fusion Academy on Long Island, students like Robby reinforce our dedication to creating a revolutionary way to learn.
